What are THE WRITE LESSONS?
Once your students master THE WRITE FORMAT, they will blossom into professional writers through a series of THE WRITE LESSONS. The inspiration of this unit derives from credentialed teacher experiences with using Ratiocination, 6+1 writing traits and writer’s workshop. THE WRITE LESSONS draw on self and peer editing in these color-coded, sequential, visual, student-centered, cooperative and memorable lessons. Packed full of ready-to-use EDI lessons, this writing unit will produce exemplary writers fully prepared to score Advanced on the Common Core writing assessment. Not only do the lessons meet your Common Core Writing Standards, but many lessons also meet the Common Core Reading Standards as well. Upon completion of THE WRITE FORMAT and THE WRITE LESSONS, your students’ portfolios will contain at least 3 ‘perfect’ papers.
